How to Personalise a Baby Bib

To personalise a Monica & Me bib, open the product page for the bib you'd like and click "Add Bespoke Monogramming." From there you'll type in a name, initials or phrase, choose one of three fonts, then pick a thread colour — the whole thing takes under a minute, and the extra cost is shown clearly before it goes in your basket.

Add Bespoke Monogramming, step by step

1. Click "Add Bespoke Monogramming"

Once you've chosen your bib — a Betsy Ann Blue, say, or any of our other Liberty print scalloped bibs — you'll find the "Add Bespoke Monogramming" button on the product page, just below the size and quantity options. The large majority of our bibs can be personalised this way; a small number can't, and those simply won't show the button.

2. Add your name, initials or phrase

Type in whatever you'd like stitched onto the bib. There's no fixed format — it's entirely up to you what goes on it (more on what other parents actually choose, below).

3. Choose a font

Pick from three hand-selected fonts, each with its own character:

  • Annie — a fun, playful look
  • Beatrice — bold, a real statement
  • Charlotte — romantic, cursive

The same three fonts are available whether you're personalising a single bib or a full Heirloom Set.

4. Choose a thread colour

Finally, choose your thread colour. We automatically match the tone so your monogramming stays legible against the print while still coordinating with the bib's colours — and for our Heirloom Sets, the thread colours are already pre-set, chosen by us to work across every bib in the set, so it's one less decision to make.

What people actually personalise with

There's no single "right" thing to put on a bib. Most often, it's a first name — sometimes a surname, sometimes a birth date, to mark the day itself. And then there are the phrases: we've stitched "I love my mum" more times than we can count, alongside genuine in-family inside jokes that mean nothing to anyone outside the household and everything to the people receiving them. That's really the point of bespoke monogramming — it turns a beautifully made bib into something that belongs to one baby, and one family, alone.

A few practical things to know

Personalisation adds a small cost on top of the bib price, and it's shown clearly at the point you choose your monogramming — so you'll always see the full total before checkout, with no surprises later.

If you're personalising a multi-bib set rather than a single bib, one name, set of initials or phrase applies across the whole set — not a different one on each bib. Font choice works the same way whether you're personalising one bib or several.

A few common questions

Can I personalise a gift set?

Yes. Our Heirloom Sets can be personalised in exactly the same way as a single bib — you choose one name, set of initials or phrase and a font, applied across the whole set. Thread colours for sets are pre-selected by us to coordinate with every print included.

How much does personalisation cost?

There's a small additional cost for bespoke monogramming. It's shown clearly as soon as you select it on the product page, so you can see the exact total before adding the bib to your basket.
